You and I have the guarantee, that whatever The Lord does, He does it out of love for you and me.
Because He loves you, you can be secure in His love.
Jesus was the only one who the Father subjected to rejection just to demonstrate His love for you and for me and for all His children.
Jesus willingly offered to endure what we will never have to face.
All that he suffered we will never have to face. What we would never be capable of.
That is to endure total and complete removal of the love of the Father from us in every way.
In that moment when he became the sacrifice for your sin and my sin He experienced No grace, No Mercy, no Deliverance, No Kindness, No Peace, No light, No love, No life.
This caused me to reflect on all the goodness that softens and lightens the darkness and death that fills our sin-stained lives in this fallen and condemned world.
All of the goodness and mercy that He lavishes upon us daily. All the things that we take for granted and don’t even think twice to thank Him for.
From the moment our first parents, the first man and woman sinned, we inherited death in every form. It was already established from the beginning that the payment for sin is death. So anything that we are experiencing apart from certain death is as a result of the mercy and grace of our loving heavenly Father.
The Father is good to all men. To the good and the Evil, the just and the unjust. Merciful to our state as sons of Adam who never had any say in inheriting our sin nature and all that has come to us as a result of this rebellious nature we have inherited.
He causes His rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
All good things come down from the Father of lights.
Acts 17:24- 31 He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in manmade temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs- for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything and he satisfies every need….His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him- though he is not far away from any of us. For in him we live and move and exist…and since this is true we shouldn’t think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone. God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to Him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.
And to those who answer this call, Behold what love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.
Father I pray for the one reading this, that their heart may open to truth and turn to you with a humble cry saying: Heavenly Father, please open my eyes to see you and show me your love and come and take your rightful place in my heart and my life. I repent of my sins. I did not know how much you loved me…but I want to know you…give me a new heart and a new mind. Forgive me of my sins and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Set me free from every thing that blinds me from seeing the truth of your Son and knowing Him as my Lord and Saviour.
Jesus I believe and accept your sacrifice as the only way I can be righteous in God’s eyes. Now make me love what is right and hate what is wrong. Take me out of all darkness and keep me in your light until I see you face to face. In Jesus precious Name I pray. Amen.
Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
